Правила приемлемого использования
Last updated: April 4, 2026
1. Purpose
OmniShield exists to protect privacy and circumvent censorship. This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) defines the activities we welcome on our network and those that are strictly forbidden. Violations may lead to immediate termination without refund.
RU: Используйте VPN для приватности и свободы. Не используйте для атак, спама и нелегального контента.
2. What You CAN Do
- Privacy & anonymity: hide your real IP address from websites, ISPs, and trackers.
- Censorship circumvention: bypass national firewalls, ISP throttling, and DPI-based blocks.
- Streaming: watch geo-restricted Netflix, YouTube, BBC iPlayer, and similar services for personal use.
- Gaming: reduce latency, avoid IP-based bans (subject to your game's ToS), and protect against doxxing on platforms like Discord.
- Remote work: securely access corporate resources, public Wi-Fi protection, video conferencing.
- Journalism & activism: protect sources, communicate with whistleblowers, organise safely.
- Research: security research, OSINT, academic study.
3. What You CANNOT Do
The following are strictly prohibited:
- CSAM: any creation, possession, or distribution of child sexual abuse material. Reported to NCMEC and INHOPE without exception.
- Cyberattacks: DDoS, DoS, port scanning, vulnerability scanning of systems you do not own, brute-force attacks.
- Malware: hosting, distributing, or commanding-and-controlling malware, ransomware, or botnets.
- Spam: bulk unsolicited email, SMS spam, comment spam, forum spam, review fraud.
- Phishing & fraud: credential theft, identity theft, financial fraud, payment-card abuse.
- Copyright infringement: mass distribution of copyrighted works (see our DMCA Policy).
- Unauthorized access: any access to computer systems or networks without explicit permission from the owner.
- Trafficking: illegal weapons, narcotics, human trafficking, stolen credentials, or stolen data.
- Terrorism: planning, financing, or promoting terrorism or violent extremism.
- Resale: reselling OmniShield service or sharing your subscription URL publicly.
- Mass scraping: commercial-scale scraping that overloads target services or violates their ToS.
4. Enforcement Process
Because we keep no logs, enforcement is reactive and based on external reports:
- We receive a credible abuse report (DMCA notice, law-enforcement request, third-party complaint).
- We investigate using only the metadata we have (subscription ID, plan, last-active timestamp).
- If a violation is confirmed, we issue a warning (for minor offences) or immediate termination (for the categories in Section 3).
- For serious offences (CSAM, terrorism), the account is terminated and reported to the relevant authority. We cannot provide traffic logs because none exist.
5. Appeals
If you believe your account was suspended in error, email [email protected] within 30 days of suspension. Include your account number and a description of the situation. We will review and respond within 7 business days. Decisions made by our appeals committee are final.
6. Reporting Abuse
To report abuse originating from our network, email [email protected]. Include timestamps (with timezone), source IP, type of abuse, and any logs you can provide. We respond to all credible reports within 24 hours.
